Compete with Confidence
Racing at CSS is all about being a team player! Sailors will learn how to take their sailing adventure to the next level and get experience with advanced concepts, including mastering the race course.
We provide both summer racing, where many participants take their first steps in sailboat racing, and Interscholastic racing, where participants can join or launch a team for their high schools and compete locally, regionally, and nationally.
These teams build off of the same core principles that the Summer Learn-to-Sail program does, with the addition of real hands-on leadership experience and camaraderie that comes from being part of a sports team.
Our coaches are knowledgeable and highly experienced, and our program boasts Olympic contenders, college athletes, and national champions in many different boats. But more importantly, our current and alumni sailors all carry the invaluable skills and lessons they learned from our racing teams with them into their adult lives, regardless of their place on the leaderboard.

Comfortable being in the water, current middle or high school student (for interscholastic)

Is sailing safe?
YES! Sailing is a non contact sport and sailors are taught how to sail safely before they are allowed to race. Sailors are always supervised on the water and all of our coaches are trained in first aid. Our CEO – Dr Lynn Frikker – is also an Emergency Physician.
Are scholarships available?
Yes. Community Sailing School Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and eligible donations may be tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.
